Representaion During Books Spiral

Nessa Cavanaugh, psychology student, knows how to stay on an even keel. Despite the urging of her mother and her academic advisor to get a life and have some fun, “all work and no play” sums up her plan to survive her grueling internship year at a children's hospital. She doesn't want to end up like her father, whose constant ups and downs broke her family, and avoiding unnecessary emotional entanglements is a must.

Then she (literally) runs into Dr. Aron Lindstrom in the middle of her disastrous first day on the job. The attraction is instant—and terrifying. Nessa knows she should stay away—especially when she finds out he has a reputation for being a player—but Aron is brilliant, intense, and as sexy as they come. When he challenges her to take a chance on him, her plans to stay focused on work start to crumble.

But what begins as passion takes on a dangerous edge, becoming an emotional roller coaster that’s frighteningly familiar. As things spiral out of control, Nessa must decide whether she should hold on for the ride or run … even if it means leaving her heart behind.

Judgment Regarding Books Spiral
PPFF Rating: 5/5 StarsUnexpected. Insightful. Appropriate. Brilliant. "Always do the thing that scares you." OK, I totally did NOT expect that. I can't even begin to imagine!I'm pretty sure I was so looking forward to this being another intense love story about the typical brooding playboy and a girl who has trust issues. Oh boy, was I wrong. VERY wrong. True, it was intense but for a whole different reasons. Just when I started to really swoon, every gushy feeling I had just spiraled. "It was

When you fall in love, everything is perfect in spite of the minor pitfalls along the way. When you commit to someone for life, you are fairly confident that those minor pitfalls will be all that one must deal with, but what if you found that special someone, your other half and they were less than perfect? They truly suffer from a medical condition beyond their control, and it changes them into someone who exists more in their mind than in reality? Would you be able to handle a journey where

4.5 unexpected stars!Full review to come...but let me just say, wow! That was surprisingly good!! Made even better by the fact that I got it from Amazon for free! :)

This was really good. It took an unexpected turn that I appreciated. I like being caught off guard with an "I did not see that coming" moment. This story turned out to be a lot more than I thought it would be. The storyline involved a heavy issue, but dealt with it in a way that didn't send me into an emotional tailspin. A lot of books have been tackling this subject lately and the way they do it frankly freaks me out. This was done in a way that made me feel more compassion than fear. Well

I stopped reading this book when Nessa realized Aron had the same "condition" as her dad because I really did not like how all of a sudden Aron has this "condition". I found myself rolling my eyes when Nessa realized what was going on with him. IMO the stuff he's doing could just be his way of dealing with all the stress he's under. While this book wasn't predictable I still think it's unbelievable. Maybe I needed more of a back story of both characters to be able to connect with them and

I love the sound of this one. I'm told it's a standalone with a HEA. Added!! Nessa Cavanaugh, psychology student, knows how to stay on an even keel.
