I love Melissa Foster and I love Bella Andre, put the two together and it's like Christmas morning in the perfect book. I loved this book and all the characters! Having read Cape Cod Kisses which I enjoyed, it was a given that I would want to read Cape Cod Promises. Stories like these pique my interest and the fact that Melissa Foster was a co-author helped to make my decision that much easier. There is just something about second chance romances that get me going. They are filled with a range of emotions that always keeps me on my toes and I cannot help but hope that the characters that I have become so invested in will finally get their happily ever

Tent and Reese fell in love and married young, six months later his career derailed their marriage. Neither of them has gotten over each other. Ten years later Trent is back on the island realizing he never stopped loving Reese and is willing to do anything to get her back. Very sweet, lots of past regrets and how they did things wrong. Seemed a touch preachy and repetitive.

Such a sweet story, shows real life problems that can destroy a marriage and I was so glad they found they way back together!

Meh... this one was a slog to finish. I was really looking forward to it after reading the first one, and I had to search high and low to obtain a copy (found it through ILL). It was nothing like the first. It was syrupy and repetitive, and I had to push myself to finish it. I really thought at some point it had to get better, but it didn't. Not really. It probably would have been more successful as a novella, since half of the book was just Reese and Trent saying the same things over. And over.

In the second book in the Cape Cod series, we meet up with oldest brother Trent and his ex wife Reese. 10 years earlier, when Reese was 19 and Trent was 26, the pair met, fell in love and married. Trent was an up and coming hot shot lawyer, and Reese was just starting out in her painting career.
