Nicola and the Viscount
Ehhhhhhhhhh. I know this is basically the same thing as Victoria and the Rogue (including a matching (view spoiler)[kidnapping plot where the lady climbs out the window to escape (hide spoiler)]), but I just didn't like it as much. Neither Nicola nor her two potential suitors, Sebastian and Nat, are very strong-willed, and there is much less (view spoiler)[angry making out (which is probably more true to the period, but the heart wants what it wants and angry make outs are the best!!!) I'm not usually a big fan of historical novels but I really enjoyed this one. The plot was great and the book does not have any dull moment! The characters are also great, Nicola is strong willed and a little improper for her time which was a really good thing for this book. I like nothing more than stubborn characters who stand up straight for what they think is the right thing to do.
Cute and light romance - perfect for a day snuggling at home under a blanket. Whenever I'm in the mood to read romance and don't have a lot of time, I come back to read this and Victoria and the Rogue. It's silly, it gives me warm fuzzies, and is all around an enjoyable time!
Love this and Victoria & the Rogue. Wish Meg had continued with more books like these.
I literally cant get enough of this book, or the other sister book by Meg Cabot. Granted, Megs 'Princess diaries' series was absolute shit but this book is ADORABLE. This is the best book to read if you want something light and sweet to read. I cant even. This must be my what, 7th time reading this book and i still grin and squeal like an idiot at all the cute parts. Nathaniel Sheridan- with your cute little lock of brown hair that incessantly falls into your eyes- is the personification of the

Nicola and the Viscount is an entertaining and quick read, but I was at no point fully invested in the story, neither did I care for the characters all that much. I wish I liked this more, because, come on, Meg Cabot was my childhood, but alas, I found it predictable, with trite characters and plot twists. :(Ehhhhhhhhhh.
