Ive read many modern day twists, or versions if you prefer, to the "Beauty and Beast" fairytale, but Dez Burkes "Skin Deep" was one of the most endearing Ive read in a long time. In this story, an aspiring actress, Angela Neil, was given the perfect (and paid) opportunity to not only ease her financial burdens, but also to be NASCAR Champion, Shane Davis, fake girlfriend so that he could convince his parents and the rest of the world hed started to live again after a fiery crash left him

Another great read by Dez Burke. Shane and Angela's of finding love when you least expect it.

This book is centered around Shane and Angela.Shane was injured and scared from a fire while driving a race car.Angela is an out of work wanna be actressShane is forced out of his self-imposed hermit lifestyle by a rumor about his parents.He says things that are not nice to Angela, she thinks not so nice stuff about Shane. They both have their issues, she does not save him, and he doe not save her, but they both need to grow up a lot.In the end, it is a HEA and no cliff hangers or cheating
