کتاب روان و خوشخوانی است. به نظرم نویسنده صادقانه و مستند کودتای 28 مرداد 1332 روایت کرده و بیشتر تمرکز کتاب بر روی نقش امریکا و بریتانیا در این ماجرا بود هرچند که گاهی به نظر میرسید یک کوچولو هوای مصدق را بیشتر از بقیه داردپ.ن: در ترجمهی کتاب اشتباهاتی نیز وجود داشت که خوشبختانه در کتابی که میخواندم یک نفر با مداد اشتباهات را اصلاح کرده بود!http://choobalef.blogfa.com/post/220

کتاب بسیار مفیدی بود که اطلاعات مناسبی در رابطه با کودتای 28 مرداد علیه دولت ملی مصدوق ارائه میکرد. این کتاب بشکلی کاملا علمی - به سیاق دیگر کتابهای نویسنده - با جمع آوری مستندات و مراجع مختلف و معتبر به شکلی بی طرفانه کتاب حاضر را نگاشته است. پیشنهاد می کنم این کتاب رو بخونید و آنگاه میتوانیند تحلیل مناسبی از حال و گذشته کشورمان داشته باشیم.

A quick-paced and detailed diplomatic history which examines the political situation in Iran from Mossadegh's election to the coup. Unfortunately, the concluding chapter, which attempts to discuss the aftereffects of the coup on subsequent relations between the US and Iran, seems to have been written in haste and lacks the acute analytic sense that animates the rest of the book.
