An "author of things", Ryan Speck grew up on a diet of science-fiction, fantasy, and horror, but quickly found himself far too easily distracted to be suitably literary. Already churning out a thin gruel of absurd ideas and bad poetry, Ryan saw a book review in Entertainment Weekly of a Russian author who wrote absurdist stories, such as one mentioned about a man hiding a stick of butter in hisI learned that, given a month and a half, I could churn out a fairly enjoyable book that I could halfway edit and release unto the world like some sort of radioactive monstrosity from a low-budget 50's sci-fi film, poised to rain down fire upon unsuspecting villagers. I know that books don't usually rain fire, but, let's be honest, my little paperback is a bit of a fire-trap.For anyone that isn't me, I'm sure you'll love this old mutt of a book, the not-so-tender crossbreeding of Douglas Adams,
