Betsy has not taken well to learning that not only is she a vampire but the queen of the vampires. Sure, her mother and her best friend adjusted to the change amazingly but even with that support, Betsy cannot seem to stay out of trouble. When Betsy learns that she has a half sister, she is drawn to investigate. Just like everything else in Betsy's life, nothing runs smoothly. In between dealing with a strike at her vampire club Scratch, and dealing with a hurt Eric, Betsy now has to keep aOkay, Im done. Started out cute. Seemed to have potential. Definitely better than the last one in to series. But ultimately fizzled. So heres what I want to start shouting... Write BOOKS, people! A book in a series should be a BOOK in a series, NOT an episode! If what youve written is an elongated, over-fluffed chapter, then tighten it up and make it part of a book. A better book. A book with a plot. Argh!
It was a quick read, not a lot of mystery, a small amount of action. A dose of drama and that about wrapped it up. I expected more based on the first 2 books. But I can tell the next two or even shorter. However, I will forge on.
I wasn't as engaged with this one as with the previous ones. It seemed like a book that was just an introduction to a new character and not a lot happens. I mean stuff happens, but not in the same way as in the other books. I'm not sure how to say it... Anyway, it was still funny and I do enjoy Betsy's brand of crazy, so that part stayed strong. Maybe now that Laura has been well introduced, things will pick back up in the next book.
Nothing happened. It was 200+ pages of nothing.
This was a very enjoyable, fast read. Betsey, the Queen of the Vampires, gets to meet her half-sister, the spawn of the Devil. There is significant development in her growing relationship with Sinclair, her sexy consort and King. Betsey even turns into a jealous lover when she believes his affections are beginning to lie elsewhere. All the usual side characters were entertaining: Tina - Sinclairs assistant, Jessica - Betseys best friend who is still charging Sinclair and Tina rent to live in her
3.5 starsIn the third book of this series Betsy Taylor, vampire Queen, shoe addict and former secretary is finally settling into her role as royalty if not quite gracefully. But, her stepmother is pregnant and not for the first time. Betsy discovers that she has a half sister, the daughter of the devil prophesied to take over the world Who upon first meeting seems about as far as one could get from hell Spohn. This book is not quite as light as its predecessors, Betsy does some things to really
