I really enjoyed this book but I also didn't enjoy this book due to how they were constantly pulled a part. Another great Gideon book in the moonlight series. I love the layers its developing in the world. I never expected to actually reread these books - just to skim a few of the important scenes - but I find I'm really enjoying myself. However, I didn't like this book quite as much as the first. Mostly because I'm struggling with the back-and-forth and lack of faith they have in each other. I want them to be happy =( of course, I do realize that as soon as that happens, the excitement can be gone.

Another riveting winner! From reading the back jacket I wasn't too sure I wanted to start the series I had a few of them, but I read the first one today, the second one today, and I'm going to go and start the third one!! Had to order the fourth, aargh! It's not going to come fast enough! The story of charlotte & max is great- interesting situation, when you don't see in shifter novels! More amazing stuff coming down the pipeline makes it very attractive to keep grabbing the next book!

I really enjoyed this book, the chemistry, banter and challenges both Charlotte and Max are facing in their private lives as well as their work. Max once again ends up as a prime suspect in a case Charlotte is working on and the pressure from the public and her bosses puts a strain on her and Maxs relationship. Add tension from Maxs mysterious origin and new relatives from the dock, and the result is explosive. I really like both Charlotte and Max, they are both very strong on the outside, but
