Commentary To Books Chill Factor
Librarian’s note: This is a previously-published edition of paperback ISBN: 9780743466776. Cleary, North Carolina, is a sleepy mountain town—the kind of place where criminal activity is usually limited to parking violations. Not so, lately. Four women have disappeared from Cleary over the past two years. And there’s always a blue ribbon left near the spot where each of the women was last seen. There are no bodies, no other clues, and no suspicion as to who their abductor might be. And now, another woman has disappeared without a trace. It is to this backdrop that Lilly Martin returns to close the sale of her mountain cabin, marking the end of her turbulent eight-year marriage to Dutch Burton, Cleary’s chief of police. Dutch’s reluctance to let her go isn’t Lilly’s only obstacle. As she’s trying to outrun a snowstorm, her car skids on the icy road and strikes a man who emerges from the woods on foot. She recognizes the injured man as Ben Tierney, whom she’d met the previous summer. They’re forced to wait out the storm in the cabin, but as the hours of their confinement mount, Lilly begins to wonder if the greatest danger to her safety isn’t the blizzard outside, but the mysterious man right beside her. Is Ben Tierney the feared abductor? Or is he who he claims to be...her rescuer from harm and from the tragedy that haunts her?Rating Containing Books Chill Factor

Listened to this book on the drive to and from SC at Thanksgiving. It was a way to fill up the long and empty miles, but as a piece of "literachoor" - it was an enormous piece of feculent nonsense.Where to start? How about the part where Lily, the heroine, convinced she is snowed in with a serial kidnapper/murderer, has hot monkey sex with him, despite the whole HE'S A FREAKIN' MURDERER thing.Or how about the fact that the hot, monkey sex happens between a woman who is weak from a nearly-fatal⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 STARS⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall rating: 4.75 stars!Triggers:Cheating: (view spoiler)[ Not between the hero and heroine, but of course, the heroine's ex husband is a piece of work. Definitely cheated on her a bunch. (hide spoiler)]Love triangle: (view spoiler)[ No (hide spoiler)]Sex with om/ow: (view spoiler)[ No (hide spoiler)]Intimate pasts: (view spoiler)[ I really don't know but based on inner thoughts and conversations I'll have to guess my take on this. For the heroine, she wasn't a virgin, but was married and
5 STARS[image error] "Torrie Lambert vanished as though the ground had opened up and swallowed her. Not a trace of her has been found... except for a blue velvet ribbon." WOW!!!! Loved this one!!! A classic who-done-it psychological thriller with a bit of romance mixed in. This one kept me on the edge of my seat and the build up had me suspecting EVERYONE. Fabulous writing. [image error] The town was Cleary, located in the remote mountains of North Carolina. And it was about to experience
The audible was excellent. The Narrator did a great job with all the different characters. Eventhough I read the book a while back, I couldn't really remember the bad guy! LOL.*********************************************************** Four women have disappeared from Cleary over the past two years. This is a book one should read during summer! LOLApart from freezing feelings it transmits, due to a great descriptions, the book is very, very interesting and until the very end you are not sure who the culprit is!The MCs are secluded in a cabin without light, water or heating. Lilly has a ton of suspitions about Tierney being a serial killer. Tierney, on the other hand, hides a lot. So, their co-habitation is full of tension and suspitions. Nothing much happens, all is in the athmosphere! In
